The Homeless Solutions Department includes three teams supporting outreach, rapid rehousing, and permanent supportive housing.
Areas of Service/Programs
Implementation and Demonstration of the Housing First Model
- Outreach Team - Meets unsheltered citizens where they are; builds rapport and quickly works to help the individual move into housing - 254 Individuals enrolled
- Rapid Rehousing Team - Housed 80 individuals over 2 years. Helps these individuals maintain housing without assistance after 2 years, provides supportive services to access to transportation, health care, food and income supports if qualify - House people in 6 weeks or less once enrolled.
- Permanent Supportive Housing Team - Houses 60 individuals through a housing voucher program. Provides supportive services to access transportation, health care, food, and income support if qualified. Goal: Housing Retention Rate of 90% or higher
