Each year, the
Rocky Mountain Water Quality Analyst Association (RMWQAA) presents one member with the Analyst-of-the-Year Award at the annual Water Quality Symposium. The winner of this award exemplifies what it means to be a water quality analyst in the Rocky Mountain Region (CO, WY, NM), and also goes beyond their expected duties to help others in their workplace and community.
This year, the RMWQAA Board announced that Zach Dahlgren from the
Greeley Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) came away from the April 13th Annual Symposium in Estes Park with the honor of being named Analyst-of-the-Year!
Outside of the lab, Zach has been an integral part of contributing to projects at the Greeley WPCF. These include being involved in the plant’s new master plan and the gathering of data and formation of reports necessary for this project, as well as putting together an energy monitoring and savings program to reduce energy usage and costs at the plant. As a board member for the RMWQAA, Zach is responsible for the maintenance of the Association’s website and is a member of the Education Subcommittee, a group that puts together educational events, such as monthly tours for members across the Front Range.
He is stellar in the lab and strives to perform water quality testing to the highest of standards. Zach always seems to find a way to help those in need when they have a question, even if that question may be far from the realm of laboratory work. Congratulations Zach!
