  • Exhibit Opening: Our History, Our Voice: Mexican American History Project Greeley

    Starts: August 21, 2025 at 10:00 AM

In 2022, community members from across Greeley came together with an ambitious goal. Seeing a lack of Mexican American stories in local history books, they decided it was time to write their own. Since then, the Mexican American History Project Greeley group has interviewed dozens of local residents, conducted extensive research, and gathered all of their findings into a manuscript. That book is set to be released in 2025.

“Our History, Our Voice: Mexican American History Project Greeley” explores this grass roots effort to celebrate, elevate, and share the contributions of our local Latino residents.

Exhibit will be open through April 2026.

  • Exhibit Opening: Home News: A Greeley View of the Nation’s Centennial

    Starts: October 23, 2025 at 10:00 AM

In 2026, we’re celebrating the 250th anniversary of the nation and the 150th anniversary of the state. We’re kicking off the celebration with a look at what was on the minds of Greeley’s first residents during one of the most eventful years in post-Civil War America, 1876.

What were the headlines and “hot topic” issues everyone talked about that year? One of the most widely read Colorado newspapers at the time, The Greeley Tribune, provides a glimpse into the thoughts and feelings of many Greeleyites, including the city’s founder and paper’s editor, Nathan Meeker.

From opinions on the state’s new constitution to water rights, agriculture, and women’s suffrage, “Home News: A Greeley View of the Nation’s Centennial” takes a look at all things news-worthy in 1876.

    Exhibit opens October 23, 2025.
