Boards and Commissions
Boards and Commissions are groups of citizen volunteers that study special community issues and provide direction, comment and recommendations to the City Council. These 24 groups are the voice of the community; they influence public policy and programming decisions that can affect the entire city.
Boards and Commissions are a great way to get involved in your community. They provide a venue for the healthy and harmonious discussion of issues from a variety of perspectives. The City Council is committed to appointing members that reflect Greeley's diverse character and considers a number of factors including geography, minority status, gender, and occupation or experiences when making appointments.

For each board member's term expiration at the end of the month, the application deadlines are typically set about a month prior to ensure that board members can re-submit their applications and to undergo the application process along with new applicants. This will ensure that everyone can be ready to start their term if re-appointed or appointed by City Council. The City Clerk's Office will contact all applicants after the application deadline. Following the application deadline, virtual interviews are generally scheduled for the second week of the month, depending on City Council's availability. Appointments are then made at the second City Council session, which is typically held on the third Tuesday of the month; unless, otherwise noted.
