City Water Project Impacts C Street this Summer
GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley is starting a water project on C Street, just north of downtown, to improve water service and fire protection for the area. This project will help make sure residents have clean and reliable water. It will also make it easier for the city to respond to water emergencies.
Project Start Date: July 7, 2025
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Duration: Approximately two months
Part I: C Street from 35th to North 23rd Avenues
Crews will abandon an old, undersized water pipeline and connect to a larger 16-inch water line already in place on the north side of the street.
This change makes the water system stronger in case there’s a break or emergency.
Greeley’s Public Works team will also fix stormwater pipes and replace some concrete along the street.
Part II: C Street between North 23rd and 25th Avenues
Crews will connect the 16-inch water main to nearby pipes along North 23rd Avenue Court, North 25th Avenue and North 25th Avenue Court.
This will improve water flow and help keep service running smoothly.
What Residents Need to Know
C Street will stay open to local traffic, but drivers may experience some delays.
Crews plan to keep C Street open on weekends throughout the project.
There will be multiple 48-hour road closures along the C Street corridor during the project. The city will post the closure dates ahead of time on roadside signs.
Water may be turned off at times. Crews will give advance notice using door hangers.
Building a Better System
While these changes can be inconvenient, this project helps make Greeley’s water system stronger and more reliable.
