Fourth of July in Greeley: City Closures and Independence Day Events

City Hall and administrative buildings closed

GREELEY, Colo. —In observance of Independence Day, City of Greeley administrative buildings and municipal courts will close on Friday, July 4. They will reopen on Monday, July 7. 

City facilities that are closed include:

· Greeley City Hall and Utility Billing, 1000 10th Street

· City Center North, City Center South and Municipal Court, 1001 11th Avenue

· All recreation facilities: Active Adult Center, Greeley Recreation Center, Greeley Ice Haus, Family FunPlex, Rodarte Community Center, and Sunrise Splash Park, 325 12th Street (temporarily closed)

City facilities that will reopen Saturday, July 5:

· Greeley Active Adult Center, 1010 6th Street

· Family FunPlex, 1501 65th Avenue

· Greeley Recreation Center, 651 10th Avenue

· Greeley Ice Haus, 900 8th Avenue

· Rodarte Community Center, 920 A Street

Fourth of July Celebrations

Greeley Stampede at Centennial Village Museum | 12 – 6 p.m.

Centennial Village Museum will be open from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 4. Visitors with a Greeley Stampede ticket receive free admission to the museum during this time. Guests can explore historic buildings and exhibits that highlight life on the high plains. Access is available only through the Stampede entrance. The south parking lot entrance to the museum will be closed.

Open Weekend at Centennial Village Museum: Traveling to the Past | 12 – 6 p.m

This open weekend features the theme Traveling to the Past: Ready, Set, Stampede. Activities include a reading of the Declaration of Independence and an opportunity for visitors to create their own celebration ribbons.

American Bull Fighting at the 103rd Greeley Stampede | 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

American Bull Fighting will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Greeley Stampede. This freestyle event features competitors demonstrating agility and control in timed matchups with bulls. The event highlights the skill and technique used in this form of rodeo competition.
