GREELEY, Colo. — The City of Greeley’s Housing Solutions Department invites residents to participate in a housing survey that will guide how Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) funds are used over the next five years. The survey and upcoming public meetings are part of the city’s ongoing commitment to address housing needs and improve conditions for low- and moderate-income households.
Housing Survey
Residents are encouraged to visit https://speakupgreeley.com/greeley-cdbg-home-initiative to learn more and take the survey. This survey is important for gathering public input to create a 5-Year Consolidated Plan that will shape future community development, improve housing conditions and more. The deadline to complete the survey is Monday, September 9, 2024.
Learn More About CDBG/HOME Programs
Two public meetings will be held on Monday, September 9, at the LINC Library, 501 8th Avenue, in Greeley. The meetings will take place from 11a.m. to noon and 6-7 p.m. The same information will be presented at both sessions, so attendees only need to attend one.
These meetings offer a chance for residents, community organizations, and others to learn about these vital programs funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and to share their feedback on future funding priorities. Attendees will learn about the CDBG and HOME program goals, current and proposed projects, how to apply for funding, and how to get involved in program activities.
Residents can also share their comments during a public hearing at the October 15 regular City Council meeting. The meeting agenda and minutes will be available on the city’s meeting portal at https://greeleyco.portal.civicclerk.com/.
