Tointon Exhibit Complements Greeley’s Annual Arts Picnic
Kick off the 44th annual Arts Picnic at the opening reception of the ongoing Tointon Gallery exhibit “Arts Picnic Fine Art Exhibit: A Weld County Community Arts Exhibit.”
The exhibit’s opening reception goes from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 28, at the gallery, 651 10th Avenue. Enjoy light refreshments and the opportunity to rub elbows with the local artist community.
The exhibit will run from July 21-August 11. It’s free and open to the public during regular Greeley Recreation Center business hours. It’s also open during Union Colony Civic Center performances for ticketholders.
About the Exhibit
As an annual open community art show, the Tointon Gallery’s Arts Picnic exhibit corresponds with the city-run Arts Picnic event held at Lincoln Park, 802 10th Ave. The show features artwork by up to 100 local Weld County artists. Eligible pieces may receive the city’s purchase award, becoming part of the Greeley Public Art Program’s permanent collection. Gallery spaces were offered to artists on a first-come, first-served basis.
About the Tointon Gallery
The Tointon Gallery features up to 12 different exhibits annually. It is the only city-run gallery in Greeley. The facility allows visitors to experience the visual arts and enjoy educational and thought-provoking discussions.
